Does anybody know how the sensors work that are located on the top of the bell housing? I believe they are called speed sensors. My car will not rev past 3000 rpm and I believe these to be the problem. Also the setscrew that goes in the flywheel has come out. Is there a way to put that back in without removing the bell housing? Could that screw be causing the problem?

If your car will not rev about 3k, your TPS is more than likely shot. Unplug it and rev it up....if it revs to full range, it is bad.
