Wheel confusion

just wondering been searching a few sites and threads but still not sure................I have 7jx16 Fuchs. I was told no design 90's will go on my car (84) without spacers. Today I saw an 87 with Fuch's and have since noticed a few with them? How does this work are they 6 or 8 inch Fuchers?

The early offset (82-85.5) is different from all the late. Early wheels will fit late cars and just look a little wider in the wheel well. Late will fit early cars but the wheel well will swallow them a bit.

As ae says, there are several companies that have wheel lookalikes that make up for the offset. A good option but if you run spacers you have lots of future upgrade options open to you.

actually early offset went up through 86, and i believe you need spacers for late offset on an early car, because i dont think they will clear the calipers if i am not mistaken.
