los tweight distribution? You know the 1jz is almost the exact same weight as the 944 engine, right? Almost the same size, too...they're both 2.5's...

And that is some sick ****...and by "sick" I mean ohly mother of God that's cool...

That's amazing man...Amazing..

If it were up to me however..i'd have done a 2JZ swap..if there is a sound in the world that i love more, it's that engine's deep rumble..oh my god..

Anyways..VERY nicely done. Im proud of you man. Even after all these guys thought you were a fraud and a hoax..i still believed

The 1jz-GTE puts 280hp to the crank and has a number of advantages and a number of drawbacks. The engine, with it's true twin scroll turbochargers, forged internals, and high-rpm designed head, is a pure-bred track engine. It's made to have the needle stuck way up at the top and it can spend it's entire life there. Some major pluses to the 1jz are the all-metal gasketed surfaces and very smooth and predictable power band. Draw-backs are mostly limited to difficult managment options outside of Japan and Europe and the ceramic plated scrolls then to disintegrate at more than 1bar, if not less.

Or, you could remount the booster closer to the side like this.

Good idea Wolf, nice pics, Look how close the booster is to the valve cover, Wardog how close would the booster be on your engine?? I wonder if you could get a smaller booster but just make it longer to make up for the lost area?
