1987 944 value
I am a aircooled type of guy but have a friend who is looking at a 1987 944. It has just over 100k miles and in good condition.
Any hints on what he should look for and any ballpark prices? Car is located in Phoenix, no rust. Thanks, JoeA

galvanized body, there will be no rust. you're looking at around $3000 give or take due to the nostalgic value placed on the car by prospective buyer, condition of car, etc.

Rick, Sorry. forgot to add that its not a turbo.
Paul, $3k is not bad, will pass this along to my friend. I am used to "aircooled" values so this is reasonable if the car is in good shape. Thx, Joe

944 prices are on the rise... $3000 is a standard "medium value" for a 944 that is in good shape, but has some minor flaws (cracked dash, stone chips, etc). For a really, really nice car, one can now expect to pay up to $5000. If I was in the buyers' market, I would expect to pay around $4500 and work from there.
