Hood scoop question

Hey Im looking for the small hood scoops That I have seen on some P-cars, There are like the ones on this 968, Does anyone know what they are called, also how hard would they be to install? THANX

do a web search for "NACA duct" (NACA being the precursor to NASA) I think that will find what you are looking for.

oh yeah the ones in that pic are not exactly the original NACA design, I believe they should have little raised edges around the "scoop" - kind of hard to describe in words but you will know what I'm talking about once you see one. In any case no harder or easier than any other kind of scoop, still has to be welded or bonded in and then filled, finished, etc.

Find yourself a 931 (924 turbo) hood. It has the duct in it already. It should be a dirrect bolt on. It will have to be converted to work with your 924S hood struts but it can be done.

It only has one NACA duct but it is much larger than the ones on the 968 shown and should help cool the engine bay of your 924S since it sits right above the header.
