Red face What does this connect to?!!

'87 944na automatic...

I was checking fluid levels under the hood a few mins ago..

This caught my attention:






WTF!?! I've had the car 5 weeks, just noticed it. What is that connection all about right there, and where (generally) would the other end originate from so I can look to couple them back together...

Does it go all the way down to the exhaust pipe next to the O2 sensor - if so, mine is unattached at the top just like yours. Since my motor is running like a champ I figured if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Relax it's a test port. There is a cover that goes over it (a rubber plug)
