Hey guys
Here's a pic of my car at the german autofest peoples choice concourse on Saturday. I thought, what the heck, I might as well enter it. I thought it did fairly well, considering there were only 3 or 4 watercooled cars that I had to compete against. A black 944 turbo won (he also entered his in the other concourse car show on Sunday...sooooo clean). I had a ton of fun at the German Autofest...sucks what happened to those other three Porsche speedsters after the event. Maybe he's referring to the 356's on the car carrier that got hit by a train, someone posted a link under the topic "weep."

There were three porshces on a truck that was going to transport them to a designated area. The truck got stuck in the middle of the train tracks, and got crushed. All three speedsters are now totalled.

Saw that on the news....very sad for someone. Insurance coverage still won't replace the irreplaceable.

This is very sad news, but serves as a reminder to all classic porsche owners:
THESE CARS ARE MEANT TO BE DRIVEN!!! not carted around on transporters to be oggled at. My condolences to the owners however. And apologies for the ensuing arguements with reference to the above comment.

Ferry porsche once saw a concours PCA event. When questioned if he was happy to see all these people with porsches, he states something along the lines of: "Im disappointed, Porsches are meant to be driven, no polished"
