944 fog light question

Since no-one else has dared chip in..

It looks like these are for the old style (i.e. non turbo/s2) style front. Beyond that I don't know that there's a difference with the fog lights.
So an early '85 would have that style front, but as to whether these are the correct part or if modifications were made post '85 I cannot say. In theory they should fit...

I have a late 84 and they are the same as mine, it seems highly unlikely they would have changed this part so it should fit the 85. It definitely won't fit the Turbo or S2.

I'll send you a PM, but I've been looking for a set of fog lights for my Euro, and since I can't find any, I was thinking about buying a US set (such as those) and modifying the frames / housing.
Could you send me the HELLA part numbers or just the values stamped in the actual glass lense?

Those should fit any pre-1985.5 944 or 924 / 924S, AFAIK.

According to PET those two lights you have are for a euro spec front bumper and aren't the driving lights that are in the valence on a us car.

I want to thank Unimog for some serious leg work researching these parts for me.
I DO have cracked Euro lenses and really need these pieces to pass inspection in the good ol' US of A - Hella claims that they no longer make these. While the US lenses and housings can be modified (with great pain) to fit, these are a far superior solution.

"Please NO ‘off eBay offers’. As you can see from my feedbacks, I buy a heck of a lot more stuff then I sell. And when I’m watching an auction to snipe it at the end, and the auction gets pulled because the ‘item is not longer available’…dang! And the auction link above has mysteriously disappeared, too. Auction was cancelled because "of an error in the listing". How very strange and unfortunate, after all the MAJOR interest you had from this board. Do you think you might relist that item?

I was going to ignore your whining, but since you are cross posting on 2 different boards, I shall retort.

If you read the heading of that auction, I had them listed as FOG lights. In trying to be a good guy, I worked on confirming that via, the knowledgeable PelicanHeads. As you can see from the information on this thread, they are not FOG lights, but are R.O.W. (Euro) DRIVING lights. Complete different lights and mounting. The auction was pull for an 'error in listing', that is what is was. I would say sorry, but what do you want, some poor smuck, to buy them thinking they were FOG lights that would be a factory fit on a 944, when you would need a European only bumper to mount these DRIVING lights. I ask that people, ask questions before bidding (which is what happened) so there are no problems after the auction. I checked, and found I made a mistake, (I missed the 944 auxiliary light webpage you must run), so I pulled them, before it was closed auction.
Since you want to do a search on all my posts, why don't you check and see that I gave most of my A/C system away free to fellow PelicanHeads. I guess I must have had some top secret reason for doing that. Perhaps you should investigate.

So as not to upset the whiner's, I will not post anything other then 'free stuff' on Pelican, and you can be assured, that these lights will only go to a friend, and will not be on eBay or Pelican again.
