I will pay someone to help me put my motor in my 944 (MA, NH area)
I was going to tackle this project myself but it has become necessairy for me to get the car on the road as soon as possible, being how the only experience I have with porsche is getting the old motor out I need some help getting it back in and all set up to go on the road.. I have an 86 944 and going in it is a 944 motor out of an 88... its a direct change so anyone that knows what they are doing please let me know and I'm sure we can work something out... thanks for all your help. I am in Middleton MA.

Figure 15 hours to finish the job you started. It would probably take three hours extra just to make sure that you have everything that you need.
The problem with rookies is the amount of time you spend explaining things. Much quicker without the effort expended to lose your concentration while talking. gb

Try posting this over at Rennlist; there are a few more active members in our area.
I wish I could help you out, but I don't have the expertise to. If and when something comes together, could you let me know / would you mind me coming up? I can give plenty of brute strength, just not too much brains (on this issue). Here's rennlist's site: rennlist.com (tricky, eh?)

Eric, I would offer to help out if you were a bit closer. I'm down in SE MA. I do have an engine hoist you could borrow but it is a longish drive for a tool pick-up.
