Rings stuck - Soak it?

I have removed the pistons from an engine that has been sitting up for several years - with water in the cylinder. Is there anything that works to soak the pistons in that will release the rings enough to get something in the gap? Thanks,

Try PB Blaster or Marvel Mystery Oil
