Serious PP Fall Meet/Run - CT/NJ/NY
A few of you guys already know about this, but some of our aircooled-driving friends are organizing a Fall Run on October 16 for anyone on the PP boards.
New York, New Jersey, Connecticut Fall Run! It looks like the turnout will already be 20-30 people... maybe more? I'll be there, it sounds like Vinman and DJYen will be there too. Any other area wasserpumpers interested? Bluebullet? CT944? Mike944? MikeCT? TheCooler? It looks like there might even be raffle prizes...

Hi there! I know I dont post often here but i'm in reading the posts and would be interested crusin along...... if its a bear mountain run it should be really nice.....great roads and should be fun to meet everyone and check out some nice cars

hmm...maybe those seats I wanted to get for the colt will have to wait...I have to put in a special call to FR Wilk for a chip before then...so I can put some extra hurt on those 911s

#*&#@!! Cant make it on Sat.! I sold my house monday, and I have a home inspection this weekend, so i'm stuck at the house.

"I'm a bit online map deficient, I just couldn't get them to cooperate with me, so here's the written route, if anyone is good at mapping I welcome the help in posting a pic.
1) Meet at 9:00 AM at near Exit 5 off the Palisades Pkwy, there is a park and ride and Mobile station, I'll get there early so look for a Petrol Blue 911 Targa. We'll wait here for 1/2 hour or so. 1a) Palisades from NY and LI: Cross the GWB out of NYC and stay over to the right on the bridge and follow the signs for the Palisades 1b) From CT: Cross the Tappan Zee Bridge and take 287 towards NJ. Just past the Palisades Center mall you'll see exits for the Palisades Pkwy, head South 2) Head up the Palisades to the Bear Mountain bridge 3) Cross the bridge and get on 9D 4) Head north towards Manitoga and then Cold Spring (if it is not too crowded in Cold Spring we can re-group and gather there somewhere). Oliver I welcome your feedback on this. 5) Take 9D out of Cold Spring along the river, amazing river views and roads. 6) Pick-up I-84 and cross the Newburgh Beacon Bridge 7) Take exit 10 to Rte 9W south 8) Take 218 southeast to Storm King State Park-Storm King Highway which apparently is an awesome road towards West Point 9) At this point people can hang in West Point (Army football is out of town), coffee, donuts, etc.... 10) Pick up 9W south and head for home.... "

Hey all-
Hope you can be there. The drive is around 3 hours or so, depending on how long we linger at the start and how many times we stop.... If you're running out of time as we cross the Newburge bridge you can always just hop on 9W and head straight down instead of going into the park.... Adam
