Sound from rear in hard corner

I just had the shift linkage pulled and replaced everything from the tranny up. When the tranny was put back in, something is not right. The car is fine driving a straight line. The car makes a grinding noise (almost sounds like geard grinding) when you take a hard left turn and give it gas though. The noise is about as loud as the magnaflow muffler on it, so it's not quiet by any means.
any thoughts?
My thoughts were maybe a bearing or a CV not torqued...

THe shop couldn't be that stupid. I'm starting to think it may be the tires rubbing. The tires I just put on it are 225/50 15's and are about 1cm wider than my old 225's. I will have to grind the inner lip for my own reasons ( precautions).

It turns out the cat was rubbing on the torque tube and causing the grinding sound. Simple enough - they bent a corner of the cat and it's fine.
