Wilks chip what do i need

I want to buy wilks chip for my 83 but i need to know how to install it. i don't have much mechanical knowlage but i am willing to learn!!

HE will install them for you if you ask him. You just send in the ECM and he sends back the ECM with a chip the next day. The installation is more electrical knowledge than mechanical. You have to solder on the circuit board in the ECM taking out 2 or 3 24 pin chips and replacing them.

please excuse my ignorance!

What is an ECM and how do I remove it?

Once i get it back will it be easy to reinstall?

He will give you all info if you email him....detailed instructions.

Do it yourself or he charges a nominal fee (considering) to do it for you.

The ecm / dme is the square box that is under the dash, drivers side above the fuse boxes....wiring harness connected to it (very large plug)

The ECM/DME is the engine computer. It's what runs your car. If you screw it up, you may not be able to get the car running again. It's easy to remove/install though - just a few screws and wire harnesses to pull!
