please help me find a blank switch part number

on the center console immediately forward of the stick shift are the various switch arrays (sunroof, power door lock, rear wipers, etc.).

i'm looking for a BLANK switch to cover the far-right hole (closest to passenger). i've noticed that this one slot uses different size fasteners underneath so that it's unique to the rest of the switch slots, so a normal blank won't fit in this one slot.

can anybody help? what's the part number for this?

alternately if a blank can't be located i'd be interested in locating an actual working switch that fits in this last slot, what switch belongs here?

many thanks.

That's the fader knob.
944 613 256 00 Is listed as fader cover
944 613 259 01 Is listed as switch cover.

I would presume the first one is what you are looking for =)

Then again, I could be wrong. But if the other part number matches the switch covers you have, then give the top part number a shot.

ah wonderful, thank you!

alternately, would you know what the fader knob part number is? does anyone have a photo of their car with this knob installed?

Zero10, was the fader part number for an '88 944? My part book lists an '86 part number in the 85/2-88 section as being "944 645 054 00" for the fader knob.

Nize, the knob is not really required if you have a modern stereo with front and back speaker connections. (But I understand the desire to aesthetically cover the hole.)

$134 for the fader switch, holy jeebus. looks like i'll be getting the blank cover for $1.95

Calgary944, sorry for the confusion, that's the part number for the blank filler.

$134!! Jeez! I'd give you mine for free!
I'm planning on putting the window switches down there.

Although, mine's a little worn out, but the offer's there.
