Looks like the valve to your charcoal cannister.

Yep, it's the purge valve for the charcoal canister.

It is inside the fender. Behind, I beleve, a plastic liner along with the antenna motor.

Man, you SO need a factory manual!!!! (or at least a Haynes)

The reason I say this is a positive one. No matter what goes "wrong" with a car, the systems can be reduced to simple subsystems. Eliminating one thing at a time makes the process a lot less daunting and a lot less expensive since you will not be throwing parts at a problem rather than actually solving it.

Case in point..Had a friend with an older Nissan that would not turn over the motor. He suspected the battery, replaced it. No improvement. Must be the starter. Bought rebuilt starter. I dropped over, took a look at his positive cable. Wire attached to aftermarket battery clamp was all green due to oxidation. I disassembled it, cleaned it, and the car started right up with the original starter still in place. Over two hundred dollars worth of unnecessary parts were thrown at a five hundred dollar car.

Going under the hood of a strange car without a manual is the same as entering a large City without a road map. Doesn't take long to get hopelessly lost!!!
