fuse/relay board removal.
i have yet another long weekend, and so i'm going to try and address some electrical probs that i have. from readings i have taken, it would appear that i may have a prob with wiring from additional fuse board, so i'm thinking about removing the whole shebang, and cleaning/replacing whatever prob i find. has anyone removed these boards/connections, and what level of difficulty, on a sliding scale, from 2 beers, up to 2 cases can i expect?.
note to self: remember to place large extinguisher in garage!

I have been wanting to do that to my early 944 as well.
There is the point that many grounds are attached to that should be easily accessable once the ralay / fuse boards are out of the way.... I'm hoping that there is an easy way to remove the boards, if there is hopefully someone will chime in..

It's a PITA. You have to remove the seat to get any decent angle on the darn thing. One phillips screw and a large moulded pin on each end hold the whole shebang in. One of the moulded pins is in a slot the other in a hole. You have to maneuver the mess about to get them released. Take the ground off of the battery before you do this.
