Try www.*****************.com for the suspension bits you want.

FYI, big reds are overkill on cars as light as ours. A well-tuned set of 951 brakes will give you more stopping power and fade resistance than 99% of mere mortals can ever use. You could *maybe* rationalize going up the 928S4 brakes on the front, but that is a lot of expense and you would need custom rotors. (this is coming from someone who has S4 brakes on a 2500lb 944)

the problem is that I swap another engine into the car.......and itīs heavier than the 944 2.5 engine.....but too much. Thatīs why I was thinking on the big red brake kit, I saw one in US$1500 but I dont know if it just come for the front wheels or itīs for all of them....Same thing for the suspension, I need some heavy duty springs cause the engine is heavier..... ......also Itīs mooooooore powerfull........280hp and lots of torque..... .....any other tips???

thanks

Well for your 86' find an 86' turbo donor.... used sets show up on ebay.

Front:

- find a 86' turbo koni strut/heavier spring setup..
- turbo calipers, disc, knuckle, dust shield, pads.......

Rear:

- konis, rear calipers, dust shield, pads

All that will bolt up on your 86' aluminun control arms.

Well, if those little rolleyes guys were directed at my commentary, yes, I know all about your car and the motor that is in it. And I stand by my advice (that comes from experience) in my original post. Big Reds will be overkill in that car, unless you are running GT1 class and doing 120-40mph braking sessions lap after lap. The larger rotors and calipers are there do dissapate the heat and keep brake fade at bay. That being said, 944turbo calipers are designed for 3000lb turbo cars and are very good at hauling you down in a hurry.

The suspension bits can be aquired from the link I gave you above, or, as ae1969 pointed out, you could get the suspension and brakes from an 86 951.

Here is an inclusive list of the parts for the 951 brake upgrade for your car:

1 pair front 951 calipers and pads
1 pair 951 rear calipers and pads
1 pair front 1986 951 rotors
1 pair rear 1986 951 rotors
4 factory washers and bolts for the rear calipers (necessary to space them to fit inline with the rotor)
4 factory bolts for the front calipers
1 pair (left and right)of front hubs and spindles from a 1986 951 (complete with bearings on each)
1 pair of 1986 951 front struts.
1 pair of front brake hoses from any year 951 and the metal noodles that go with them.

Things that are nice to have, but not necessary:

Bias valve from any year 951, this bolts inline on the master cylinder
Stainless brake lines front and rear
New alignment eccentric bolts for the front strut/spindle interface. Sometimes they are re-usable, sometimes they are so chewed up it is worth replacing them.

If you decide to go to big reds on the front, you would delete the 951 front calipers and rotors, and purchase a big red kit that is made specifically for early offset cars, with calipers, custom rotors, and adapters.

THANKS!!!! It has been quite fun having the supra engine in my 944....the only problem is....that i already need to change tires...cause I can easly burn some while moving in 3th gear.... .... also Iīm looking for a new set of wheels on ebay.... Iīll follow your advice and buy the complete brake kits from a 951 donor, on ebay there are quite a few so I wont be having trouble at all.... same for the suspension.

Iīll try to take some pics of my car this weekend to post them... and maybe a litle video...

THANKS YOU ALL!!!
