Ignition Problem
My 89 Turbo is experiencing ignition cutout. This was verified by a dynamometer shop showing complete ignition cutout around 4000 rpm. So far I have replaced plugs, plug and coil wires, coil, DME relay, cap and rotor. All these are new parts and I still have the cutting out. Today I swapped in another 89 Turbo DME and KLR computer and still had the problem. Anyone have any ideas about what is causing this problem? It happens almost all the time and happens whether I am rolling the throttle on slowly or during WOT. The engine dies momentarily and then picks up again with a pop out the exhaust when the flame is relit. Ground problem? Supply voltage problem to the coil? I'm stumped. Help please.
Steve
