I need to get to the main seal!
 

So i'm tearing down and resealing my engine and what's this!? I can't pull the cover out to get to the main seal....Why
must something always prevent me from progressing with my projects, why!!???? OK, that's better, so guys, how do i go about it. It seems that whoever worked on this before liked using lot's of silicone and glues...and in the hayne's manual(i know, but i needed some kind of reference) it say's it should pull straight out.....well, that's not working, it's stuck and does not want to move. I'd really appreciate your help fellas. I got the week off and I wan't this to be on the road really bad.

Ger a seal puller and hook it out.

Also, have you removbed the washer and the oil pump sleeve? Sometimes that makes it easier

oil pump sleeve? you mean from behind the main seal?
