Headlight not bright at all
I need to get some new headlights, the guy who had it before me put in 12 dollar headlights. I must admit they look nice, they have the blue tint to them but they dont illuminate nothing my fog lights do most of the work. So is there any nice bright bulbs or headlights I can pick up? reasonably priced I might ad.

ya you have to upgrade. First try buying new bulbs (try some 50/60s) first. You may get what you want. After that decide if you want to spend the money on the upgrade.

Its all proportional to how much you want to pay. Personally, I went with Sylvania Silverstars last year and am very happy. They were about $20 a bulb but well above the tired 80's look of the stock lights. You have many options.

I have the Sylvania Silverstars as well, and I am pretty happy with them.
A few weeks ago, I changed the ground to the battery when I replaced the battery. The headlights do seem much brighter.

The Iceshark lighting mod is the best mod you can do for your car. The difference from stock is amazing.

I just picked up the ssylvania silverstars, what a difference, its daytime they illuminate more than my old ones... well one more quick question you know the cap that goes around the bulb, basically the plastic piece that hides the bulb from the front when your looking at it from the front, do you guys think it would be brighter without?

projekt70chevel, there is no cheap way to upgrade the headlights, plain and simple. It is one area where you definately do get what you pay for. Anyone that tells you differently is either a lier or has never seen what you can really do. The SilverStars will probably be an improvement over your stock bulbs but they are sort of overpriced at $20 per bulb. And they will never solve your basic problem of poor lenses and horrible wiring. That is what moves you into the big leagues along with some overwatt H4s. There is no substitute. Here is a Rennlist thread with before and after pics. I had nothing to do with the pics being taken and they are not cooked up marketing scams. http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/showthread.php?t=134230&highlight=IceShark Edit: see you got the SilverStars. Don't remove the cap in the lens - it is part of the lens design and you will screw up the beam pattern. I bet you have Hellas as they always want to use a block. Many top end lenses don't use a blocker, just rely on the block on the bulb itself and design the reflector and lens to take care of beam pattern. Again, don't pull that cap out.
