Can't remove license plate bracket
 
On the front of my 1985 (early) 944, I can turn the screws (barely) but they don't back out and they don't seem to be letting go of whatever they are holding on to.

have you tried soaking them in some penetrating fluid,

if not then CAREFULLY drill them out ?

Easy fix, remove from bumper (two bolts located on bottom - use socket wrench).
Then it's easy to use a socket to stabalize the inside bolt.
Takes about 15 minutes.. Use rubber stop for remaining holes.
