There are some of the late VW pumps that will fit and work alright but in doing research they are smaller pumps and could possibly starve your engine for fuel once you are at full boost or when you really get on the gas. Another option that is normally a lot cheaper is a replacement pump made by pierburg. The pump looks the same as the bosch but it costs about half of the bosch and it uses some sort of plastic roller inside so it's not as noisy as the bosch and has a longer life expectancy.

Do a search on google or at 924board.org. There are a couple of small distributors here and there.

1980 is a change over year so you must have the VIN to get the correct pump.
The fuel pump in tank is 928 608 013 00 (all 1980 924 Turbo) The fuel pump bolted to the body: 911 608 102 00 (up to 1980 924 Turbo models) or 911 608 102 00 (1981 924 Turbo models onwards) This model has two fuel pumps.

ok so I am trying to figure out if my 80 924 turbo fuel pump is the sam as others. On Vertex the exterior pump is listed as 93060811300, but it also says that this pump fits 911 turbos from 1977-1989 can this be true. Is a 911 turbo the same as a 86-89 930 turbo. Because I see a filter for the 86-89 930 turbo part number as 0580254967?
help!! these are all the numbers i have found 91160810200 and 93060811300 and e300097459 and 0580254967

One of those numbers I posted should be different: the 81 model year onwards is part number 911 608 102 02. The other numbers are correct.
And yes, as the part numbers begin 911, they are specified for certain 911 models as well, that's irrelevant though as you are not working on a 911. Parts through out the range are often used on different models.
