heads!
I'm looking for a good, competent machine shop in the Atlanta area. I want to take my head to ge it cleaned, shaved, and i also need them to do a valvejob. And does anyone know if the valves can be grinded - i know the sodium filled exhaust valves might not like that too much - but i'm just curious. if you have heard of a place - let me know.

Go to your dealer and ask who they use.
If you were closer to Charlotte I would recommend Seller's Auto Machine Shop, who (by the way) has a race prepped 951 head sitting on a shelf collecting dust. I don't know what Jeff wants for the head, but you can give him a call: Sellers Auto machine 7614B Old Mount Holly Road P.O. Box 818 Paw Creek, NC 28130 (704) 393-8806 Jeff has done 2 NA and one Turbo head for me and I have never had a problem with his work. Jeff charges a flat $168.00 to disassemble, clean, inspect and reassemble a 4 cylinder head. Installing new valve seals is free (new seals come in your HG kit), and installing new valve quides is an additional $20.00 (new guides are about $4.00 each). Turn around is about 3 business days depending on his current work load.
