Tool lessons with AFJuvat: calibrating your 9201
If you missed tonight's chat session, AFJuvat walked speedracing944 through the process of calibrating his 9201 tool. Below are the instructions as well as I could gather them from the chat session. I think these are complete, but if I'm missing something feel free to chime in.
Tools needed: Calibration Bar 9201 1.5mm allen wrench - With the calibration bar not on the 9201, insert the allen wrench into the adjustment hole and turn until you get 0.2 - 0.3 - Spin the dial until the needle points to 0 - put the bar in and lock the tool with the bar at 4.0 - unlock the bar and remove. Put the bar back in and lock it. Keep adjusting until you get to 4.0 (may take a few tries) - After you get it set, unlock the bar and make sure you are still reading 0. If you don't get 0, spin the dial of the gauge until the needle lines up with 0 and make sure the bar is on the feet squarely and not crooked. Keep re-adjusting until you get 0.0 without the bar and 4.0 with the bar locked. |
Thank you AFjuvat. I am now calibrated.
