quick question about transmissions

will a 944s tranny fit into my 87 na and is there even a difference in the gearing, or is it just stronger? What effects,
if any, would there be?

Any post 85.5 tranny will work. I have a S tranny in my 85.5 N/A. 5th gear is different on the S from a normal N/A tranny.

All the gearing is different, but the 944S tranny will work well in the 944 na.

If you're interested, I've got some 968 gears.
