I now have acceleration power starting at 2k, instead of the no power untill around 3k, . FrWilks PowerProm changed my car,
I should have got it sooner, when I started looking at it over a year ago, It was money well spent, I just love how my car runs now. no more waiting for power any more ![]() the car revs faster and my exhaust has a different "better" tone now the install went ok, it took only about 2 hrs to install. here’s a pic of my open freshly modded dme, ![]() the car idles smoother than ever before, accelerates quicker, I am very happy with the chip and the adapter board,- being discontinued so if you have a pre 85.5 you better get one while you can-, they are high quality parts, and the instructions are easy to follow. Thanks FrWilk you made my car funner to drive

I have a question about the 85.5-91 chip.......does it remap the throttle and ignition, and is there a data sheet available on the chip prior to purchase.
Thanks

So... I have a job now. Should I buy power window switches for the passenger side window, or a PowerProm first?

Dude, here's a tip on the window switches. They can be disassembled carefully then clean the contacts, I used a small diamond file. The switches use a surface which resembles old style ignition points. File the "contacts" and I'll bet you can get another year out of em easily.

The chip socket adapter was such a nice product. It is sad that it is no longer available.

hate to continue this derail, but thanks for the advice. can't follow it, though, since I don't even have the switches, and the housings for them are broken. just gonna get some new ones at Oklahoma Foreign in a few weeks when i go.
