Paint again!!

Hey all, major balls up tonight was just finishing off drivers door paint did last coat of colour and 2 clearcoats.
My clearcoat had run out so went for a new tin and then realised I had been given 2 pack instead of RFU 1 pack. The 2 coats were really thin (good gloss but still need compounding though) anyway can't get correct clearcoat till I'm off work on thurs. I was told to do all the clearcoats (3) the sameday about 15mins appart what will happen if I do the 3rd a few days later??

When you spray paint, let it flash and then add another coat, the bond between each layer of paint is a chemical one. Once you have gone past the time indicated on the P-sheet for recoat, the chemical bond between hardened paint and newly sprayed is no longer possible, so you will need to scuff before shooting. 600-800 grit sandpaper dry is normal prep for recoat.

The clear will fill in the 600-grit scratches, it will be transparent. Just be sure to clean the surface completely with a wax & grease remover like PPG's DX330 before recoating.
