944 DME Chip Options

I understand that "da Man" DME chips is MIA.

Here are a few options that i have seen on ebay. I need some professional opinions on these bad boys before purchase. There used to be a autothority chip up there but now is over. Which was most promising, but here what i got.

SKEPTICAL (fits a 944 and a Boxter?)

The first two chips are junk. They are just resistors that trick the DME into thinking it is cold all the time so it runs full rich. No way in hell will it net you anything but trouble. Autothority , weltmeister, huntley racing, wilks, and guru are the only proven chips that I know of there may be some others but those ain't them.

Yea I agree, I would stay away from the no name E-bay chips, almost all are junk. Better off staying wiht the big boys, guru, Autothority, weltmeister. If you can find a WIlks chip go for it, and good luck finding a Huntley, they had been out of business for a while

Junk or not, I just purchased this questionable chip on ebay.

If it doesn't do anything I'll live. It was only $25.
