Mass air flow

How much horse power will I gain adding a Mass air flow kit? and what kits are recommended?

if your car's an n/a, then not enough to justify even half the price....
but if it's a turbo, then that's a different story, a good story...

7-12 horses tops on an n/a
25-40 for a turbo

how much do they cost and where can I get a good one? or if they are pretty much all the same, where can I get a cheap one?

no chaning the intake won't do squat. The restiction lies in the barn door AFM. Getting rid of the barn door is where you gain the HP from.

I got mine from Huntley Racing like 4 years ago, they claimed 10-15 HP and 12 tq on the NA, I love the setup, Like was noted before The HP gain is from removing the AFM "Barn door" which is THE biggest restriction in the intake system besides the head. If your not going to be moding you car alot then its really not worth doing, But if you are going to be doing alot of performance mods the go for it it will help the engine breath.




the kit came with the MAF setup, A A/F gauge, A Adjustable FPR, and the ARC2 to make fuel corrections. I payed about $1200 for the kit 4 years ago
