If there is no frame damage, the body is straight, and the hood is straight then it's just a matter of alignment. When you lift the hood you'll see 4 bolts that hold the hood to the hinges. If you loosen the bolts on the side that need to be aligned you can move the hood on the hinge and get it all lined up. I would mark the location of the hinges before you make any adjustments so at the very least you can go back to how it was.

Are your rubber bumpers in place along the fender? There should be a couple of rubber stops nestled in the track with the bolts that hold the fender in place. If one is missing it could tilt your hood.

Pictures man, pictures, I don't know what you are talking about without pictures.

Are you referring to the reinforcing stuts on the backside of the hood?

If you do not have a digital camera, you need to get one. We could help you do a complete frame-off restoration if we could see through your eyes, or at least see pics of what you are looking at.

You can use 'panel adhesive' to re-join that strut to the hood. You can find it at you local auto-body supply or can order it online from a site like www.eastwood.com

No prob.

Word to the wise...make sure your hood is good and square before, during, and after you re-attach that part of your hood. If you do not it will be tweeked forever.
