Please everyone help...

OK, I have been on this site ever since I got my 944, and I have seen so many ingenious, creative and inventive ideas to which you, dare I saw we, have applied to each of your own. Well the point that I am getting at is that I need insurance so I could drive up to my garage here in Upstate NY, the problem is I do not have the need, nor the money for, a long term policy, indeed I would prefer a 1-day, even 2 day insurance, only so that I may be able to drive the 300 miles. A one month policy would be excessive but reasonable. Upon securing such a contract I would then be able to work more on the car without having to spend money on unnecessary insurance--the car would not be ready for another 2 months or so. Needless to say, the automobile runs well, but there is of course some more work that I would like to put into it.

So--- I call upon you ALL to help me procure a list of reputable
insurance companies that may provide me with such a policy, any suggestions would be taken in sincere appreciation and a desire only to prolong this art that we are all a part of, and also so that we may at some point help each other in those times that perhaps none of us would like to face alone.

Many ins companies will take monthly payments. Try the internet ,, You will find an abundance there. In some cases there may be a "special " type of insurance but the paper work alone would make it unprofitable to offer it.

I store my 944 every winter and carry only comprehensive during that time. If I need to take it some where for the day, in the winter, all I need to do is call my insurance agent and ask them to insure the car for the day. They have always done it no questions asked and without problems. There is no charge either. I have been with this company for 10 years and I have all my insurance through them. Even though they are a big company in a big city they know me by first name. Hope this helps.

1. Tow it

2. Insure it comp and collission then drop collision when you get it there. If your car burns up while in your hands the comp will at least cover it later so keep it insured.

3. Drive it and don't get caught

4. Drive it and don't get in an accident. Have a buddy follow you so you don't get tail ended, if you do then it's all his fault!

Good luck!!
