88 944 oil question
Seems I have lots of friends with oil issues.
What would cause blue smoke to come from exhaust ( noticable) when the car turns sharply? He does not notice anything during normal driving nor can we see anything if we standing behind the car as it idles or he drives off. Only when he turns sharply and not always.. To much oil in system ??? Stumped. |

He just checked the oil level. Car has been sitting for 1.5 hours since a trip to the store etc and so forth. Appears level at just "above" 2nd mark.
Don't have time to check box but how would oil get to the box (newby asking the question). |

I have seen pics where the crank vent will blow oil into the air box which could get sucked up. Also isnt there only 2 marks on the dipstick, One for high and one for low, If you are above the 2nd mark you are to full

I will have him check his manual. We are newby's and it shows.
What would cause a "crank Vent" to blow oil into the box. I only ask this question as my 86 is have a smoking issue and I am not totally convinced that the seals are the issue ( the seals were just replaced). I am looking for alternatives. Air sensor, poor tuning, etc newbys |
