944 vs. newer porsches
Based purely on appearence and not on performance, is it just me or are the 911's and boxsters just not as nice looking as the 944?
I really love my 944, and was checking around for newer models, and i really don't care for the appearence of them. Maybe it's just me, but I think i'll stick with 944's for awhile. Even the 968 doesn't seem to have the same appeal. Opinions please, and no flaming please just my opinion. |

I'm not a big fan of the newer P-cars, especially the Boxter.
I like the looks of the older 911's my self. The newer ones have no detail to the body shape. They just look like a round lump

i don't especially like the 996's looks, or the newest boxster... but the original Boxster, the 993, and the 997 are gorgeous, IMHO.

To be honest, the only cars I don't care much for the looks are the 924, the 356 cabriolet, and the 928. and I'm talking abou those specific models cause I love how the 928gts, 931/937 and coupe 356's look

I would take a newer 911 or boxter in a heart beat. what I wouldnt want is the payments that go along with it. The 944 is the best deal ($ vs performance) in the Porsche world.

Ill tell you one thing...The 944 is one of the most appealing cars ever built. Something about the flared fenders and how the body smoothly transitions from one body panel to the next. Oh and I have to agree I do love the older 911's more than the newer ones. There more exotic and less refined. Hey man....There is no substitute.

i like the 944. I love how the boxster looks....the 928 is just to big and the 911 is just to expensive to maintain.

I second that! Just saw a yellow 997 today in the rain with its Xenons on. It was a great look. Yes, the 944 truly has a classic look even by todays standards. Although I generally like most all P-car models, sans the 924 and 914.
