oil in intake

i recently changed my TPS and at the same time i took out all the intake system, except the intake manifold, to give it a good clean. There was alot of black crap throughout but wen i took the air filter element out i noticed a 'puddle' of oil in the airbox. i have never noticed this before and the oil was like new - like honey.

n e idea wats causing this?
