Angry I Cant Stop!

my problem is (or should i say "i think is") that my master cylinder isnt up to par does anyone know where i can pick one up for cheaper than 100 bucks?

help would be great

I got mine from a local parts shop (Roy Rogers Auto Parts in Memphis). You should be able to find a redone one for pretty cheap. I think mine was right around $85 maybe? It's been a long time since I did that job.


Advice: don't bench bleed the cylinder using a screwdriver or whatever they tell you to. Bolt it up to the brake booster and just don't attach the lines. Attach the bleeding tubes to it and pump the pedal - it's much easier!

Why try to pinch pennies on something as important as your brakes? Pelican has it for $140 and you know it's going to work.

Yep. And chances are if you buy a used master cylinder off of e-bay, it's a 15 year old unit, which will most likely fail sooner than you expect.

The very last thing I would skimp on is my brakes! Do yourself a big favor , buy a new master cylinder.

yeah, i just picked up another new part time job, so ill have to leave it aside for a little while longer, but i am going to do it the right way (besides those new wheels and paint will be coming much quicker as well)
