Most 951 Knowledgeable Shop in L.A.?

It's apparent my "new" 951 has some issues. There was no wastegate in it

There was a small engine fire at some point. Not bad, but a few things- like a couple of electrical connectors, are damaged, some wires frayed, dipstick & oil filler cap partially melted

As my name says, I'm in Pasadena, need a non-911 shop that really knows their stuff on 951's to look at it.

Oh and what connects to this solenoid (I think) Passenger side lo on front of engine - sorry or the out-of-focushttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1115897946.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1115897964.jpg

Thats a rather important item, unless you have a manual guage somewhere. It's the oil pressure sender. Look for the harness to hook it up.

Rich at Tony's has several sweet 951s that he maintains.
The shop has been at their current location since the early '60s
when they were maintaining Spyders and Speedsters...

Dan, I'm not sure if you already tried Strictly German in Pasadena. I took my 951 in and they replaced the belts. I thought that the owner, Duran really knew what he was doing and he'll be honest if he can or can't help you with your problem. Check it out:

Uh, yeah....did you look at this link you posted? I wrote the review. So I am very experienced with Duran and Strictly German. Thanks, Dan

Haha, oops. Did you try taking it into his shop?
