Thumbs up Its been a great ride!

The time has come, but this time out of necessity. I must part ways with the 951. I recently made right virtually every big problem it had, and it is currently running like a dream.

My reason for selling is because I need a car with 4 real seats, a warranty, and free loaner cars when its being serviced. My job as a salesperson necessitates this. I have some devious ideas about what to get next, but nothing can happen till I sell this car.

I want to give my friends here the first crack at it. I would hate to see this car go to someone who won't care for it as I have. In fact, I'd appreciate if whoever buys it would keep me updated on her. I will always miss this car. Please let it be one of you who gets it.

I have done my best to provide full disclosure, check out my website here:
Rammstein's 951 for sale

Website seems to be running slow, but be patient. It will give you every bit of information I can possibly offer on this great car.

PPI's are welcome and encouraged, it will only make you like it more. On the website, check out the maintenance spreadsheet. All the items listed there are 100% backed with receipts.

I appreciate any commentary anyone has on this, even if not interested personally. Forward the website to any friends of yours who you can trust. I believe the price I have set is fair, unless there is a major consensus otherwise.

I will still be around, sorry I haven't been around more lately, my job is taking up all of my time. The real estate market is hot here right now, and I am trying to make some dollars!

Everyone's favorite poopyhead-
Rammstein

I just looked at the classifieds and saw an 86 951 in florida for $6500...

I hope I can do better than that. I would actually really appreciate any good input from you guys. If I am way off with my price, I'd appreciate knowing why.

I don't know what the condition of this other car is, but it didn't look too bad.

Damn, it would KILL me to sell that low.

Wilk?! Man, I've been gone awhile! Last time I was here they were mounting a search operation to find you! Word on the street was that some angry kittens had their way with you in a dark alley.

Any thoughts of what you are going to pick up next. Personally I am waiting for the Mazda Speed 6 to come out... looks like it will be an awesome ride. Your car is definitely in great condition, wish mine looked like that.

Yikes! I can't believe you totaled everything up! The second rule i learned in Porsche ownership is to never, ever total stuff like that up! That, and if it ever has to go down on paper, it always must be written 1/2 of actual cost... just in case a SO saw it. Less shocking that way

I wish I could buy your car, it's gorgeous. I hope you sell it to a respectable pelican. Maybe someday they'll take you for a ride again

The Mazda would be a good choice i have a Protege 5 and it has run for 3 years and 113,000 in a rep possition with regular maintenance and no issues. I have also been running my 325 for the same purpose for the last month. My daily average is about 150miles. between my wife and I we have driven the car about 14,000 miles in the past 8 months. The car cost $1500... thats Canadian dollars.

Its no "substitute" but you can still get the rear to hang out in the corners and e30's are dirt cheap. Dont sell the 951, just imagine trying to replace it

Asking if you should replace that timing belt is like asking if you should re-use a condom that may have in hole in it with a hooker.

I am interested and live in NH!!
I am at school now until end of May but could send my father down to check out the car. I currently have an 83 944 and love it but find myself wanting just a bit more. it looks like your car is just what I want. The only thing is the high milage but you have replaced a bunch of things so that becomes less of an issue!

Let me know
Seidelha@grinnell.edu

thanks
Chip

Bulachip-

I emailed you too. Your dad is welcome to get in touch with me about seeing the car. The website I set up has my phone number and/or email. As long as I have a day or so notice, I can be around whenever.

The videos, for whatever reason, are in .avi format, and I've been recently informed that mac users are having trouble viewing them. Are you a Mac user, or PC? IF PC, I have to investigate this.

The eventual hope is to move south! It just seems I cannot escape the northeast, no matter how hard I try. The wife has actually been extremely understanding of my car disease. If she wasn't I don't see how we could have a healthy relationship. Hell, she even has helped me get ATF out of my hair! What a sweetheart! I should put a pic of her up here sometime, but she'd kill me. I just want a picture of her butt next to the car's butt. HEY- thats a good selling tool! How to trick her....

Put the car on autotrader today-
