You can still recirculate with the right BOV The Huntley Racing BOV does.

Unless you are going for hight boost numbers I would wait on the head stud and O-rings untill you are ready to have the head rebuilt. A good head gasket is always a good idea. Before you feed any more HP to that thing drop the oilpan and replace the rod bearings. Cheap fix now... New engine later. The #2 bearing is known for causing issues in all the 944's and even more so in the 951. With those mods I am sure the PO has run that car like it was meant to be.

Oh and before you worry about adding more HP... Drive it. SHe will surprise you. 300+hp in these cars is enough to scare normal people out of riding in your car. :D

On a stock car or a car with a MAF, a BOV will vent air past the metering device, so the ECU will have no idea how much air is going into the engine when the BOV vents. On my car and 951 sleepers, we're using standalones that use speed density, a map sensor in the intake manifold (along with rpm) determines how much air the engine is getting. The BOV vents air BEFORE this, so it doesn't affect the measurements at all. The ECU will know exactly how much air there is at all times, regardless if the BOV is venting or not.

Yea, vitesse makes great products, but irrelevant in this discussion since 951 sleeper already has Motec. Just remember those figures most likely wasn't done with pump gas. On race gas, it's not hard making 400whp. With stock cams, the 2.5L motor wont be able to make more than around 360whp on pump gas SAFELY.
Yup Special tools stage 3 as I recall was run on a mix of race gas and pump gas at ~25 psi. What really caught my eye is that he ran it on a stock gasket......... no o-ring or widefire. He ran a low ~430 on a mustang........and what really blew me away is that it converted to close to ~500HP on a friggen dynojet. THATS CRAZY numbers.

I agree with rage.... 360 rwhp on pump gas is probably the max you want to shoot for ......

I am running a stage 2 and raised the boost (on petro canadas 91 winter gas!).......and leaned it out WAY TOO FAST ......... and blew my widefire and o-ring. (100% my fault) ..... but now I know I shouldnt let it lean out to 18-1 at WOT (and off the wideband scale) LOLOLOL The nice thing is that I can swap a headgasket with my eyes closed now in 2-3 hours.

BUT BOY WAS IT STUPID FAST IN 3rd and 4th during those few runs. LOL :D

There is some huge potential on 951 sleepers car but go slow......... Small changes in fuel and timing can make great improvements but GO SLOW.

Did I mention go slow ?
