few q's about installing driver side window

OK, so i just got my window in the mnail, thanks my924gtc, i removed the panel and found this white sheet of plastic on the inside... what is this... do i need, it's a little tattered and was held on in some places by duct tape. also, do i just drop the window in the door or do i have to mount it up to whatever it is that the power windows move. thanks.

My dad says the plastic is for moisture protection, and now that i got some of the old glass vacuumed up, i can see the lever that the window mounts up to, but do i just slide it in there or is there something else i have to do to insure it stays in? Is it easier to install with the [non-existant] window in the up or down position?

You will need to loosen the window regulator to fit the bottom of the window rail into the regulator.
