Thermostat and Thermoswitch

I am once again trying to tackle the issue of why my car tends to run at the 3rd tick mark on the temp sensor (sometimes higher). I cleaned many grounds which helped a bit (although i still get a fluctuation in temp readings when i turn on the headlights, or heater blower) I have never changed the thermostat or thermoswitch and have a feeling this may be the cause for my high temperature. Right now the car heats up to the third tick and the fans kick on and stay on... untill the car has sat for awhile.

The car is in florida year round so i am trying to get a recommendation on what temperature thermostat and thermoswitch i should use.

Links to anyone carrying these products would also be appreciated.

Thanks

Not sure if it's the same as the 944, but a 160 degree F thermostat and probably a 75/85 (or something like that) degree C thermofan switch would work well together and keep your car super cool.

Even during the recent heat wave where temps here got up to 100 degrees my car never got above the 1st line on the gauge. I'd go to www.clarks-garage.com and checkout the cooling system testing procedure to determine the problem.

I was having the same problem, and I put in a low temp thermo switch and low temp thermostat, and all they did was make the car cool faster but while in traffic it still gets up to the third line.

I have a 70/75 thermoswitch and a 160 thermostat. the thermostat can be bought at Napa and a lot of places sell the switch. GPR even has a 65 degree switch for our cars
