Throttle cable (automatic) repair ?

Throttle cable snapped apart at little nipple thingy.............(like my tech talk?)

any ideas for a temporary repair untill my new one gets here from pelican?

remember you are explaining to a girl ............lol
(toddys making me learn on my own for when he is out of town)

last time it was starting to unravel slightly and catching on the throttle housing so......................i used twist ties (stripped of paper) and braided the lilttle wires into and around the cable and used snips to cut off a couple of loose ends

any ideas will help
