secondary car while 944 is in surgery

the guy who is working on my 944 (hes going to pull the transmission apart this weekend) has a 93 plymouth laser (fwd turbo) he got it for $400, give it to me for $500, any thoughts?

i need a everyday driver, its either that, or take on my brothers abandonded 1985 2.3 190e project, nice car, mechanically it runs awesome, needs to cat converter, and passenger headlight, dash board a little cracked (amg package btw)

anyways the 190e id get for free, about $300 to bring it back up to shape (drivable shape)

laser runs fine (so far, hes owned it for about 2 months) $500, mismatched colored fenders/hood/bumper (was in front end collision)

what car would you take?

Well, for free you could part out the Benz for a small bucket of cash later on........ Or, just give it to 61SKTNBUG for a winter beater when you are done with it.

That 2.3 190e with the AMG package, is it a 16v?

no not 16v, amg body kit more specifically, if it was the 16v id take it for sure, i believe the laser is standard (cant remember), turbos are fun no matter what car really (minus volvo wagons)

ive been workin on the benz today, its sort of an electrical mess, sun roof leaks, blinker relay going out, dash lights are going out, headlight is broke, needs new cat. i could get a deal on most those parts and fix the rest my self

the laser... i hear DSM's spend more time in the shop then on the street, and i already have my 944 for that purpose, its seems to be in good shape from that i have seen of it, needs TLC basically

ill probably end up with the 190e because its in my driveway, im more familiar with german cars, and i just plain out like them, but maybe ill get both.. if the repairs on my car are minimal and i have some cash left over it looks like i will be taking on a new project (the laser) the 190e is mine now i guess, no one else wants their hands on it, so i guess ill adopt it
