Stripper

I was so happy to finally figure out how to remove the 6mm nuts from under the cam housing, you know, thru the little 8mm caps! I removed all the nuts but one, STRIPPED! My ? is, can I remove the whole head w/out getting off the cam housing? Maybe I'll drill out the bolt after the head is removed.

No, you have to remove the cam box before the head. You'll have to get the bolt out. I would try getting another size allen socket or a Torx socket and hammer it in. Usually that will enable bolt removal. When undoing these bolts only use professional class sockets. I like the Stahlwille or Hazet ones. If all else fails you will need to drill the head of the bolt off.

If that is the last bolt out and it is stripped. I will be harder to get out because the tension of the valve springs are against the one bolt. I would put back in 2 bolts on the upper and 2 for the lower housing. Then wake up the stripped bolt by tapping it with a hammer and a punch. then take a torx. or slightly larger SAE or metric sockets and hammer it into the stripped bolt. If this does not work as "britwrench" noted you will have to drill the head off the bolt, 1/4" bit should wok. The head will not come off without the cam housing coming off.

Hold on before you start drilling! This was a very common problem when I was working on-the-line. Once you stripp the allen on there usually is no way to get it out by those means. This is how we did it:

1. As David said put the surrounding bolts back on.
2. Take a 12mm (maybe 13mm I can't remember it's been 15yrs) 12point socket with an extension. Use a cheap extension as it will be useless as an extension after your through.
3. Hammer the socket/extension on the outer perimitor of the bolt.
4. SLOWLY break it free.
5. Continue and replace ALL remaining bolts. If one stripped chances are the other will soon go.

Thanks for all the advice. I got it, I replaced the two bolts next to the stripped one, to take off the tension and then I tapped in a reverse threaded bolt extractor. It almost came out too easily, if that's possible.
