No reverse lights, reverse light switch?
Recently the back up lights started to flicker a lot on and off and then last night they just completely died. Is it the back up light switch? Checked the bulbs and the connections there but they all looked to be in good working order. How do I go about replacing this switch? Is it located on the tranny or is it located near the shifter assembly inside the car?

it's on the tranny passenger side I think kinda on top. mine had one wire broke on it. I fixed the wire and it works now. Finally a question I new the answer to. lol

check the fuse and see if the other stuff on it works before replacing the switch.

Checked the fuses, everything is fine there. Will look tommorrow at the wiring to the switch. Thanks for the input guys.

checked the fuses visually or with an ohmmeter.
looks good, doesn't mean it's a good fuse. turn signals and mirrror motors are on that fuse, do they work? |
Mine does this every once in a while, and it's always been dirty connections at the switch.
Take the wires off the switch, clean the connectors, and give it a try. I always try the cheapest solution first! |
Yes, turn signals and mirrors work just fine. And yes, I tested with an ohm meter and they checked out fine. I will try to clean the connections first obviously as I will have to order the part from pelican.
