Please help: Need part that I lost
 

Does anyone know where I can get the part that is circled in red in the diagram? It's the stop plug on the fuel pump check valve...I lost it somewhere while I was taking my fuel pump out and now I can't do anything because I lost it...=(

sorry, posted image after a response, scroll down please? anyone know where i can get a replacement? or i was thinking about just making one with a few nuts and bolts...(no kidding)

That's a pretty common part, did you can Pelican to see if they have it in stock?

I'll be cleaning out my parts shed this weekend and am sure I can find some 928 spec ones, if you can measure the depth and diameter needed of the nipple, I'll be able to tell if it's intercangable. How about the local scrapyard? Should be used on any Bosch FI equipped car from Audi to Volkswagen.

very common part, as metioned before any late 70's early 80's VW or audi will have it or you can goto any place that works on european cars and they should have it. Last one I got was like $6 new.

Thanks fir everyone's help, I still havent found the original piece but I managed to find one that looks kinda like it, it fit the thread the only thing is it has an open plug on the other end whereas the original had a cap on it, so I just put a plastic cap on the nozzle, I was even planning on taking a nut that fit snugly over it and welding a cover over one side of the nut so the fuel wouldnt leak...so that seems to be working for now, does anyone think the fuel that is hitting the plastic will eventually eat its way through it, giving me a quick and unexpected gas downpour?? Again thanks for everyones help.

Depends on what type of plastic it is. Without knowing for sure, I'd be very leary.
