Rims Question
I have been reading all the posts about polishing Fuch wheels, etc.....
Mine are the "Cookie Cutter" rims. Is it true that two companies made these? (Fuch and ATS) and that Fuch rims are sought after? I know mine are the factory rims. So are they Fuch rims? After reading about all thats required to clean them up, I am now considering buying some new rims of some kind. |

All Cookie Cutters were made by ATS.
Yours should be 15 x 7 both front and rear. The option was Fuchs that were 15 x 7 in front, with 15 x 8 in the rear. |

Two companies made wheels for the 944, but only ATS made the cookie cutters. IIRC the cookie cutters are cast, like the later phone dials, while the Fuchs are forged and lighter weight, plus they're a little more rare. The lighter weight makes them more sought after by autocrossers, and the relative rarity makes them more valuable to people restoring their cars. The two combine to increase the price of Fuchs well above that of the cookie cutters.
