bra or braless

My car came with a bra. I noticed if I use the bra it makes my car run hotter, to the second line and higher over 100mph. If i'm bra less it stays at the 1st mark. As I live down a dirt road i'd like to leave the bra on for protection. Does anyone know of something you can do to increase airflow with the bra on. If not I reckon i'll just go braless. Any thoughts?

no bra.

How often is there a car infront of you on your dirt road? If it's infrequently, then you don't have to worry about debris hitting your car - with no one infront, there's no chance of dirt hitting your nose.

In my experience, a bra is a long term negative.
Even when used properly (well secured- minimal flapping at speed) they move a bit and when the inevitable dirt gets under them scratches result. A friend with a mint 930 found this out the hard way
Nowadays when I see a car with a removeable bra mounted I suspect that rather than protecting from it, they're creating (or possibly hiding) damage......

I drive my Porsche about 4 days every week (I have a 2nd car), and I have had the car for about 4 years. How many stone chips do I have? I tihnk I counted 4 or 5 total. Not a big deal.

Buying a bra has never even occurred to me.

well it was kinda hiding a small fender bender. But I figured it would be better to runn cooler than to hide the dent. So she's braless now

Careful, a study shows that going bra-less and playing sand-volleyball will lead to front-end saggage later in life.

Definitely bra-less though... I'd rather have a few chips in the paint than a whole front end sanded down.

I've never understood bras. In order to keep the car from getting slightly ugly in ten years, we'll make it incredibely ugly from day one, and ruin the paint underneath, besides.

I purchased mine with a bra, it was covering the banged up front nose and valance. But the car runs a little warmer with it on, so off it comes. Function over form.

Dude, my 944 is sooooo 1980's with or without a bra.

In any case, I support my front end with a bra simply because of the panel gaps beneath. So even though I prefer the freedom of going braless, modesty prohibits in my case.

Talked to the PO just the other day & he found the one off my car.
Pay the cost of shipping or it's going to the dump.

Edit: I'm serious, someone pays shipping or the bra get's it!!!!
PM for where to make the drop.

Ever see a Porsche from the Sunny Southwest after the bra left on long term has been removed? Under the bra: Guards red. Rest of the car: Guards pink.

what about those clear adhesive bras that you are not supposed to be able to see unless you are right up on them, i know a few people that run them on track days but im pretty sure i saw some nicer better fitting ones before

The tape is noticeable but overall I think its a great idea. Once the plastic gets all banged up just remove and replace. the only negative i can think of is that if you look at some of the stone guards behind the rear wheel they do yellow and crack. Maybe thats 1980's plastic and things are better now, who knows?

I had a bra that came with my first 944. When it was rear ended and destroyed I pulled the sunroof bag, tool kit and manuals to sell on Ebay, i also listed the bra. Unfortunatly when i tried to put it on my car to take a pic it didnt fit, I think it was for a 928?

No bra, bras are evil, they cover up the good bits.

Hi folks...I put a bra on my 944 to hide some painting abnormalities from one of the previous owner...funny, it has been running hotter since I put it on (especially in these hot and humid Maryland summers)...could this be the cause?
