One good thing about the 924s...

They don't have to go through emissions in Connecticut.

My '44 failed. I have the results...
Gas Limit Actual
HC 200ppm 118
CO 0.64% 0.69 <-failed
NOx 1400ppm 976

The guy at the GM garage (emissions tests are farmed out to local dealers) suggested "cleaning filters", and that maybe it was a fluke...after all, it barely missed. Time to research, I guess...

I changed it 6 months ago. Maybe I should test to see if it's sending a signal to the DME.

2nd gear, 25 MPH, roughly 2800 RPM, according to the printout.

Now that I think of it...would a bad head gasket throw emissions off? I think I'm burning coolant, as it loses some, yet never leaks. , The car also blew a smoke ring in the parking lot this morning. No coolant shows up in the oil, and the car runs fine, though.

I've heard coolant kills the 02 sensor, maybe it could use another changing after I tackle the HG.

Thanks!

Ideas if it only barely failed-

1) Drive it at high rpms for awhile.
2) Change Oil
3) Clean/replace spark plugs
4) Make sure the cats are hot at testing time
5) Check for vacuum leaks?

You probably already know this all, but it makes me feel like a big man to write it out.

I totally forgot changing the oil. I have Mobil 1 15-50 in there with 4k miles on it.

I drove it for 80 highway miles, with occasional WOT 4th gear blasts. It was warmed up properly.

Plug cleaning and a filter check would probably help too.
Thanks!
