If I'm not mistaken most cars have the ZZZ stamped in the engine compartment. That does not mean you have a ROW car. The VIN on the windshield is the one that counts. Also, probably inside the driver door or jamb will be a plate form the company that converted the car to US spec.
On mine they added the stock rear sidemarkers to the rear quarters but they got the Left and Right sides mixed up, installed them upside down, at the wrong height, and sealed them with silicone. The front sidemarkers are VW units and were just tacked on to the front valance...it looks really bad.
Of course the bumpers were replaced with aluminium units but at least I still have the driving lights in the front one.

as i said, its not the one in the engine compartment, that is the one in the windsheild, if you look closley you can even see the etching in the glass in the picture i took, and as ive also said if you have a question just ask, no reason to blurt out a statment that is total BS

thanks
ian

Jesus Christ people, quit arguing over wether or not this has had this or that, he's asking $1000 . If it was or is, or had been a Euro car... who gives a F' ... If I was in IL and had the $$ ( unemplyed right now ) I would be takin it.

It runs, no timing belt failure .... $1000 ... no brainer

Good luck on the sale

Don

Hey, all I did was mention it. At the time there were no good pics and a vague description. I would expect the same if I posted a car for sale here with the same situation.

It does appear to be a euro car from the VIN on the dash area.

Good luck on the sale. If it wasn't an auto I think it would move fast for you.

And what did I say that was total bull**** dumbass?

There was discussion around the VIN's on different parts of the car and I was trying to clear it up. If you cannot comprehend what I was saying, that's your problem!

Get a clue!

yes. but this is the car i wanted the wrecked 951 part car for.
this car is the replacement for my old 931 but today the owner of
my old 931 came by my house after driving by and seeing the 944
and it looks like i can have both. if i get the 931 back from him then
there will be no swap. this 931 is built up a complete aftermarket turbo upgrade including turbo, turbo timer, electronic boost controler, wastegate, blowoff valve, downpipe, cat back, and hand fab pluming.

all for $900 dollars and the car only needs what it needed when i sold it
a head gasket, and the head plained,

but he is trying to talk me out of the 944 with $500 and the 931
i dont think i want to do it so im going to try to get him to settle for cash.

either way, if i get the 931 back there will not be a swap.
