That looks pretty hot. Stupid question, why is it called color sanding if you're sanding the clear coat?...

VERY NICE JOB

I have three wasserpumpers, a 1983 928S 5-speed, a 1984 944, and a 1990 S2 Cab, and I still appreciate the 1984 a lot because it's a tremendous automobile that can still hold it's own on the highways today.

Nice job with your '85. All I can say is "WOW".

regards, P

......and black is not a color?
I'm simply mentioning it, because he said 3 coats of blue, 3 coats of black, then 3 coats of clear, and now it's time for color sanding... Implying the clear is already over all of the colored paint.

The new colour scheme looks great its different but subtle, I like!

BTW is that Alfa 164 also yours? Befor I picked up my 944 I ran a 1990 164 3ltr V6 for about a year, good car with the best engine note this side of an Italian V12. Red lining that thing was a musical experience!

drfatz, that is simply gorgeous. Possibly the best paint scheme I have ever seen on a 944. Wanna trade

So the valve cover is painted with a special wrinkle paint that I found on the internet :-) Next up I plan to build a switch panel out of aluminum for the interior

very cool, almost too nice for a track car

My only "concern" is regarding the spacers on the Boxter wheels. I cant even recall where I read it but having spacers on wheels wouldnt pass tech. I think for DE's and PCA events its cool but "taking the next step" may require different wheels.

again, VERY cool ride.

IIRC, studded spacers are verboten, but non studded with longer studs added to the stock bits are ok.

Thanks!!

I don't really intend to do any club racing...for now I'm going to stick to DE events and showing her off :-p
